To meet environmental regulations, the demand of H2 purification in refinery are growing. From hydro-treating to hydrocracking or hydro-desulfurization, the primary purpose of operations is to convert heavy hydrocarbons to lighter, higher-value fuels or to reduce the sulfur and/or nitrogen within the feedstock. Residual gas from the process contains a significant amount of unused hydrogen.
Applications:
• H.P. vent gas with 70-90% H2 purity and 8.0-10.0 MPaG pressure from RDS, H-oil plant.
• L.P. vent gas with 50-70% H2 purity with 2.0 MPaG pressure from HDT, HCR plant
• FCC offgas with 30% H2 purity and 0.5 MPaG pressure
Performance:
• H2 recovery: 70-95%
• H2 purities: 95-99.5 mol%
Operating characteristic:
• Max. operating temperature: up to 90°C
• Max. operating pressure difference: up to 90 barg
