Hydrogen recovery from the purge gas of ammonia synthesis process

Hydrogen is the main raw material for ammonia synthesis. To control the conversion rate of ammonia£¬a portion of recycled gas must be purged intermittently in order to keep the partial pressure of hydrogen in the synthesis tower and to reduce the content of nonreactive gases. However, a significant amount of hydrogen is lost with the purge of those nonreactive gases. Our membrane system is available to recover the hydrogen from the purge gas. The usual payback time is less than 1 year. System performance:

¡¡¡¡•  Electricity consumption cuts 50kwh per ton ammonia

Hydrogen recovery from methanol purge gas

In the process of methanol production from synthetic gas, a portion of recycle gas is purged intermittently to control the conversion rate of methanol and keep effectively high partial pressure of hydrogen, carbon oxide as well as to reduce the content of nonreactive gases. The hydrogen concentration of the purge gas is about 70~80%. Our membrane unit can be applied to recover hydrogen from the purge gas to increase the methanol yield, which brings significant economical benefit.. System performance

Hydrogen recovery from the process of producing oil from coal
------------------------------------------------------------------

To relax the contradiction caused by the imbalance between supply and demand for oil as well as to promote the development of national economy healthily and stably, some plants in China .are founded where the coal is liquefied and transformed into oil directly. In such plants, the oil coal slurry produced by coal, catalyst and recycled oil is mixed with hydrogen and subsequently enter to liquification reactor in which the mixture reacts at high temperature (430¡æ¡«470¡æ) and high pressure(17~30Mpa). The outlet stream of the reactor comprises liquid oil, solid unreacted coal, mineral and catalyst as well as the gas mixture mainly consisting of hydrogen. (H2¡Ý85%) The membrane technology can be applied to the process of producing oil from coal as below.
¡¡¡¡•Separate the hydrogen from the gas mixture and recycle it to catalytic
¡¡¡¡ reactor for re-reaction.
¡¡¡¡•Recover hydrogen from the offgas of oil hydrotreating unit and reuse it
¡¡¡¡to oil hydrotreating. In the process of producing oil from coal, the
¡¡¡¡application of membrane technology can bring prominent energy
¡¡¡¡and consumption saving as well as the greatly reduction of the
¡¡¡¡production cost.
