Established in 2000, kindly supported by a number of renowned scientists from CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) and participated by some oversea scholars, Dalian Eurofilm Industrial Ltd. has already become a high-tech company group mainly focusing on development of membrane materials, design of membrane processes and membrane modules as well as industrials investment; owning many technologies of know-how with strong competitive power such as recovery of VOC, hydrogen, oil gas, re-injected water in oilfield, large scaled water treatment system and UF membrane module. With professional techniques and attentive attitude, Dalian Eurofilm serves the industries of oil and petrochemical, metallurgy, electric power and food as well as the filed of environmental protection (such as oil extraction, refinery, PVC, methanol, ammonia synthesis and producing oil from coal etc.).

With the development of globalization of economy and standing on the principle of “cooperative-development, self-innovation”, Dalian Eurofilm commits itself to collaborate with world class membrane companies, commercialize and industrialize the advanced membrane technologies all the times. The close and long-term cooperation with world class institute and companies (such as Germany GKSS, Membrana ltd, Borsig ltd. and Japanese MEC, UBE.) have been built. Furthermore, Dalian Eurofilm is conducting the development of new technologies cooperatively with domestic large enterprises (such as PetroChina, Sinopec, China aluminum) as well as some basic and pioneer researches with many universities or institutes.

In the area of VOC recovery, as the only chinese partner, we created many international and domestic examples of top-grade.

At Shenma Group who produces VCM with calcium carbide, the first pilot membrane equipment in the world applied for VCM recovery from the offgas of distillation column was built in 2002 by Dalian Eurofilm. Since the erection of the first demonstration equipment at Qihua Group in 2003, our membrane-based VCM recovery equipment have been widely applied in Yibin Tianyuan (240 thousand ton PVC), Xijiang Zhongtai (120 thousand ton PVC), Shandong Hengtong (100 thousand ton PVC), Shenyang Chemical (50 thousand ton PVC) etc, which cause 30~50 thousand ton calcium carbide saved if calculated by 30~50kg cost saving per ton PVC. At the same time, we developed new adsorption technique to reduce the emission of VCM up to a low level of 35mg/m3, which induces huge benefits to the environment and society. Dalian Eurofilm was awarded the second prize of Science and Technology advancement of Chinese membrane society in 2005.

In 2001, Dalian Eurofilm supplied Yueyang Petrochemical General Plant with a propylene recovery unit applied for the small scales system producing polypropylene by batch bulk polymerization. The unit runs stable till now. So far, many companies with nearly 1200 thousand ton the total capacities of polypropylene production have applied membrane recovery systems such as Cangzhou refinery, Harbin refinery, Xinjiang Lu petrochemical, Nanjing Hongye and Jinmeng petrochemical etc. Nearly 50 thousand ton propylene monomer is saved per year if calculated by 40kg propylene saving for per ton PP production, which corresponds to 700 thousand ton crude oil. In 2003, this technology is granted with “New technology of energy saving and consumption reduction” by Chinese association of polypropylene in 2003.

Since the first membrane-based ethylene recovery system supplied by Eurofilm was applied to the EO/EG process at Jilin pretrochemical company group in 2002. So far there are 9 EO/EG systems among the total 11 ones in china are equipped with membrane ethylene recovery systems. All of them, such as Maoming ethylene, Yanshan Petrochemical, Tianjing Petrochemical and Laoyang Petrochemical, installed Eurofilm’s membrane systems. If estimated by 8-10kg ethylene saving from 1ton ethylene oxide production, There are 8000 ton of ethylene monomer saved for EO/EG industry per year, which is as valuable as about 56,000 ton crude oil. At the same time methane consumption can be reduced to 50% and the system run more fluently compared to the original process.

In 2005, Eurofilm supplied the first membrane unit applied to butylene recovery for Tianjing ethylene plant as well as the first membrane-based LPG recovery unit for Daqing refinery in 2003. Meanwhile our products are sold to Japan, Mid-east and Southeast Asia.

In 2004, Dalian Eurovapor industrial ltd. a company specializing in gasoline recovery, was founded by Eruofilm. Under the cooperation with Germany Borsig company, the first gasoline recovery system in China was installed at Shanghai Lingguang gasoline station of Petrochina. Totally 0.3% gasoline can be saved and an emission level of the gasoline vapor can reach to 35g/m3 (meet the international requirement). Other gasoline recovery systems for the gas stations with 200,000 ton yearly sales are under construction.

In the area of hydrogen recovery, cooperating with Japan UBE company, we sold about 30 membrane units to refineries, ammonia synthesis plants and Methanol plants. Among them, the one that was installed to the equipment of 1,200,000 ton of diesel oil hydrotreating at Shanghai Petrochemical is the largest membrane unit applied in domestic petro-industry. The hydrogen recovery equipment designing for 630,000 ton of ammonia synthesis plan in Iran is the first Chinese membrane system exported to Iran.

In 2003, as the only partner of Membrana(Germany) in China, founded as Eurofilm’s division company, Dalian OKM ultrafiltration industrial Ltd started to produce ultrafiltration membrane modules using for water treatment. Via the cooperaton with Shang’hai peninsula and Beijing CNC companies, our products have been widely applied in petrochemical, metallurgic, electric power and chemical industries. The ultrafiltration membrane unit supplied for Shan’Xi aluminum group is the biggest UF unit currently in China. In Shengli oilfield, we installed an UF membrane system to treat the oily water for to re-inject it to the low-permeable ground and meanwhile our products were sold to Europe.

In 2005, devoting to membrane application in the oil field, Dalian Eurofluid Co. Ltd. was founded We have popularized new membrane technologies in Shengli oil field, Daqing Oil Field, Xinjiang oil field for oily waste water treatment, natural gas treatment, etc. The MBR system for waste water treatment, is also developing by Eurofilm and Dalian university of technology.
